Selection of paint brushes is one of the most debated topics in the whole wide paint world. You don’t have to sit in an online or real time paint group for very long before this comes up. That is good news, we always love to hear about painters valuing brushes. Sure, spraying is popular, but paint brushes are timeless. We have often said that brushed finishes are the true measure of a paint craftsperson.
Now, we find out where our readers stand on this critical matter.
Our social media satellites recently promoted an online poll to find out which of these manufacturers is preferred by painters. Granted, social media polls aren’t terribly scientific…we all know its kind of a matter of happenstance how information flows through social media newsfeeds, but it is an interesting glimpse into pro painter opinions.
So, in the spirit of Painters Speak, here is some of the chatter we’ve gathered on this topic.
From the Topcoat Review Paint Brushes Poll
This definitely motivates us to roll out another round of pollery to include Corona, which is a smaller brand with a huge following that we have observed over the years. Look for that soon on our Facebook Page.
Strong opinions appear for both, but in the end Wooster won this poll commandingly.
There were over 100 votes, which is a decent sample size, from a highly qualified demographic. One thing can be said about our followers…they are serious about painting.
We are all ears when 100+ painters want to weigh in on a relevant topic. We very much appreciate our readers and social media followers taking a few minutes out of their day to respond to this poll and contribute comments.
